International exhibition on technologies, equipment and materials for corrosion protection CORRUS 2017, Moscow

October 23-26, 2017

CORRUS 2017 is a special opportunity to find new markets and partnerships in the framework of KHIMIA 2017 - International Exhibition for the Chemical Science and Industry, that attracts about 18 000 professional visitors from Russia and former Soviet countries. Making a presentation of your technologies and products on a thematic conference is also a good way to attract the attention of potential consumers.

Dear Colleagues,

Oil and gas producing and processing complex is the leading user of metallic structures and units, it uses installations that are gigantic in extent and complexity of the design, which are expected to function for very long periods of time. Therefore, the problem of corrosion of material assets and their protection from destruction is very acute throughout the industry, including, of course, the enterprises of Public Joint Stock Company "Gazprom".

Currently, the situation is complicated by the fact that due to external causes the existing links already tried and tested are being broken, and Russian consumers have to look for new suppliers of goods and services for the domestic market. However, in this crisis, there are also new opportunities for those who want to expand their sales markets.

New solutions in the field of corrosion protection are required in all phases of operation of structures: both in the construction of new facilities and in the operation of existing ones, including those who have already exceeded their designed service life.

I am sure that the exposition "CORRUS 2017" and its conference programme will be very useful for "Gazprom" in resolving the existing problems in the field of corrosion protection.

address_meierDear colleagues,

Corrosion costs the oil and gas industry tens of billions of dollars in lost income and treatment costs every year. Therefore, combating corrosion in the oil and gas industry is paramount. In order to ensure smooth and uninterrupted flow of oil and gas to end users, it is imperative for field operators, pipeline engineers, and designers to be corrosion conscious as the lines and their component fittings could undergo material degradation due to corrosion.

For Europe, the growing reliance on imported fossil fuels is a fact of life that will not change greatly for years. Europe’s domestic production of oil, gas and coal is in steady decline. Russia is now the world’s leading oil producer and exporter and has proven itself to be a reliable supplier to the world market for a number of years. About ten percent of the global oil supply and thirty per cent of the world's production of natural gas is extracted from Russian oil fields.

To help seize upon new opportunities, CORRUS 2017 will bring together industry professionals, researchers and educators from around the world who are engaged in equipment and technologies for corrosion protection and corrosion resistant materials. CORRUS 2017 which is being held at the Expocentre in Moscow from October 23 to October 26, 2017, is part of the KHIMIA 2017 exhibition – one of the largest branch forums in the world which attracts more than 20,000 visitors.  The exhibition highlights the newest achievements of European and Russian industries in the field of corrosion protection.

For global players with capacities in the East, the Russian government and local companies are more eager to collaborate with suppliers than ever before. I honestly think CORRUS 2017 will provide a unique opportunity to reinforce existing connections with contacts and foster new relationships in the field of corrosion protection in this turbulent environment.
